Transcend’s StoreJet externals and JetFlash USB drives are widely used for backups and transfers. Drives that stop mounting or cards that corrupt are common Transcend recoveries.
We handle Transcend SSDs, external drives, flash drives, memory cards — across current and discontinued lines:

Known Transcend failure patterns
Widely reported, publicly documented issues we see in Transcend recoveries. Most units never have these problems — but if yours does, here’s what it means for your data.
Worn-out dashcam cards
Cards that record around the clock eventually exhaust their flash and switch to read-only or stop being detected. The most recent footage can often still be recovered if the card isn’t reformatted.
Portable drives after drops
StoreJet anti-shock casings help, but a drop while running can still damage the heads. Clicking or beeping means unplug and stop.
Monolithic cards and flash drives
microSD cards and compact JetFlash drives are typically monolithic, so recovery means reading memory through test points rather than removing a chip.

Transcend recovery — common questions
How much does Transcend data recovery cost?+
One flat $1,200 for the Transcend devices we handle — quoted before you ship, with no per-gigabyte fees and no diagnostic charge. You pay $0 if we can't recover your data.
Can you recover an encrypted or password-protected Transcend drive?+
Often yes, but you'll need the password or encryption key. Many Transcend drives use hardware encryption, so a physical recovery only yields readable data when the correct credentials are supplied — have them ready.
My Transcend drive isn't recognized — is the data still there?+
Usually. A drive that isn't detected most often has a controller, firmware, or mechanical fault while the data itself sits intact. Stop using it, don't reformat, and let our cleanroom recover it.
Do I have to visit a location?+
No. We're a mail-in service: confirm online, we email a free prepaid label, you ship your Transcend device, and we return it with your recovered data. You only pay on success.
