When a deadline, a court date, or a business-critical system can't wait three weeks, emergency data recovery puts your device at the front of the line. Emergency 24–48 hour handling is available on request for single devices, at the same flat $1,200 rate.
Most single-device recoveries follow our standard 15–20 business day schedule. When that's too slow, two faster options exist. Expedited service targets 2–4 business days — ask about availability when you confirm. Emergency service, often searched for as 24 hour data recovery, targets 24–48 hours with work continuing around the clock on critical cases, and is available on request. For single devices, the flat rate stays the same at every speed, and you still pay only if we recover your data.
Speed depends on the failure. A drive with a logical problem or a straightforward electronic fault can move quickly. A hard drive that needs parts replaced in the cleanroom, a badly degraded drive that has to be imaged slowly to avoid further damage, or a phone or SSD that needs chip-level or board-level work can take longer than the emergency window, even with engineers working on it continuously. Our timelines are typical estimates, and we keep you updated at each stage.
Because ClearQuote is a mail-in service, shipping time adds to the total. Confirm online, use the free prepaid label as soon as it arrives in your inbox, and note in your request that you need emergency handling.
What we recover
✓Business files needed for a deadline
✓Legal, financial, and tax records
✓Project files, footage, and client deliverables
✓Photos and personal files from failed devices
Common failures we handle
•A drive failed right before a deadline
•A laptop or desktop that won't boot with no backup
•Water-damaged or dropped phone holding urgent data
•SSD or external drive suddenly not detected
Before you send it in: what not to do
✕Don't run recovery software on a failing drive to save time — it stresses the drive and can turn a quick case into a slow one.
✕Don't open a hard drive to look inside — dust and fingerprints on the platters can cause permanent damage.
✕Don't try several repair shops in a row — each attempt risks more damage and costs you the time you're trying to save.
✕Don't wait to ship while you keep troubleshooting — for an urgent case, every day in transit or on a desk counts.
✕Don't power a clicking drive or a wet device on and off to see if it recovers — repeated attempts can make the damage worse.
How we recover it
1
Flag the case as urgent
Request emergency or expedited handling when you confirm online, and tell us what files matter most and when you need them.
2
Immediate evaluation on arrival
Your device is logged in and goes straight to an engineer for diagnosis instead of waiting in the standard queue.
3
Priority files first
Where the failure allows it, we target the folders you named first, so the most critical data is secured even if the full recovery takes longer.
4
Continuous work and updates
Emergency cases are worked around the clock, and we tell you right away if the failure looks likely to need more time than the target window.
5
Verify and ship back
Recovered files are verified and loaded onto a secure return drive for the trip back.

We recover
Certified engineers work your case in our ISO cleanroom.
One flat $1,200, quoted before you ship — no per-gigabyte fees and no diagnostic charge. You pay $0 if we can't recover your data.
Does emergency service cost more?+
Not for single devices. The flat $1,200 rate doesn't change with turnaround speed, and you pay only if we recover your data. Emergency handling is available on request, and expedited service depends on availability.
When should I choose emergency instead of expedited?+
Choose emergency when you need data within a day or two — a filing deadline, a closing, a delivery to a client. Expedited at 2–4 business days fits when you need it this week but not tomorrow. If you're not sure, tell us your actual deadline and we'll suggest an option.
Can every case be finished in 24–48 hours?+
No. Emergency timelines are typical estimates. Severely damaged hard drives, and phones or SSDs that need chip-level or board-level repair, can take longer even with continuous work. We'll tell you early if that's likely.
Is emergency handling available for RAID, NAS, or server recoveries?+
Multi-drive systems are priced by custom quote after a free evaluation. If your case is urgent, say so when you request the evaluation so timing can be discussed as part of the quote.
Is my data still recoverable?+
In most cases, yes. A device that won't boot or mount usually has a hardware fault while the data itself is intact. The key is to stop using it — don't reformat, rebuild, or keep powering it on — and let our cleanroom handle it.
Do I have to visit a location?+
No. We're mail-in: confirm online, we email a free prepaid label, you ship the device, and we return it with your recovered data. You only pay on success.
How long does it take?+
Most single-device cases finish in about 15–20 business days from arrival, with shipping adding only a day or two on each end.
