A dead phone, a broken phone, or a water-damaged phone can still hold every photo and message you care about. Our phone data recovery service repairs the phone's original board to get it running long enough to copy your data off, for one flat price.
Modern iPhones and Android phones keep your data on flash storage soldered to the logic board, and they encrypt it. The keys live in the phone's own security hardware and are tied to your passcode. Pulling the storage chip and reading it somewhere else doesn't work on these phones — without the original board, the data stays encrypted. That's why dead phone data recovery is really board repair: the phone has to run again, at least briefly.
Most dead or broken phones fail at the board level. Liquid causes corrosion that spreads over time, drops crack solder joints and components, and failed batteries or charging circuits stop the phone from powering up. Engineers find the specific fault and repair it so the phone can boot, accept your passcode, and let us copy the data off.
Deleted data on a working phone is a different story. Both iPhone and Android discard the encryption keys for deleted files and clear freed storage, so once something is permanently deleted on a phone that still works, it generally can't be recovered. In that case, cloud services and computer backups are the best places to look.
What we recover
✓Photos and videos
✓Messages and chat app history
✓Contacts, notes, and voice memos
✓App data and downloaded files
Common failures we handle
•Dead phone that won't turn on or charge
•Dropped phone with a broken screen or board
•Water-damaged phone after a spill or submersion
•Stuck on the logo, in a boot loop, or after a failed update
Before you send it in: what not to do
✕Don't charge or power on a water-damaged phone — current through a wet board causes shorts and speeds corrosion.
✕Don't put it in rice — rice doesn't dry the inside of a phone and can leave starch and debris in the ports.
✕Don't factory reset or restore the phone — it erases the data permanently.
✕Don't keep guessing the passcode — too many wrong tries can lock the phone or trigger an erase.
✕Don't let a repair shop swap the board without asking about your data — a replacement board can't unlock the original storage.
How we recover it
1
Assess the damage
We open the phone and inspect the board for liquid corrosion, cracked components, and failed power circuitry, and measure where power is being lost.
2
Repair the original board
Engineers clean corrosion, replace failed components, and rework damaged connections.
3
Boot and unlock
With the board running, your passcode unlocks the encrypted storage.
4
Extract, verify, and return
We copy your photos, messages, and files, confirm they open, and send them back on a secure return drive.
One flat $1,200, quoted before you ship — no per-gigabyte fees and no diagnostic charge. You pay $0 if we can't recover your data.
Do you need my phone's passcode?+
Yes. On modern iPhones and Android phones the passcode is required to unlock the encrypted storage, even after a successful board repair. Without it, the data can't be read.
Can you recover data from a phone that was underwater?+
Often there's a path, but it depends on how much corrosion has spread and which components it reached. Liquid damage gets worse with time, so ship the phone without trying to power or charge it.
Can you recover messages or photos I deleted on a phone that still works?+
Generally not. Phones discard the encryption keys for deleted data and clear the freed space, so permanently deleted items on a working phone usually can't be brought back. Check iCloud, Google Photos, or your computer backups instead.
My phone's screen is black but it vibrates or rings. Is that still a recovery case?+
It may just be a display problem, in which case a screen repair might be enough to access your data. If the phone has other damage too, or a screen repair doesn't help, send it in and we'll diagnose the board.
Is my data still recoverable?+
In most cases, yes. A device that won't boot or mount usually has a hardware fault while the data itself is intact. The key is to stop using it — don't reformat, rebuild, or keep powering it on — and let our cleanroom handle it.
Do I have to visit a location?+
No. We're mail-in: confirm online, we email a free prepaid label, you ship the device, and we return it with your recovered data. You only pay on success.
How long does it take?+
Most single-device cases finish in about 15–20 business days from arrival, with shipping adding only a day or two on each end.
